Meet my second California Dreaming in the set of five.
Three of these lovelies are mitered square projects, and two are granny circle-in-a-square. Read more about the history of this upcycle endeavor in the original post here.
Mitered squares are becoming my favorite shape at the moment, and I actually created a crochet pattern of my own, based on this knitted version. The fresh color really lends itself to the movement of the angled stripes.
I crocheted the knitted pieces together in a big square and added a woven stitch (SC, Chain 1) border using some leftover Cotton Ease that I dug out of my stash. Love rekindling old yarn flames!
I am looking forward to piecing my third and final mitered square California Dreaming! Soon to make its debut, I’m sure, and proud to complete the trio. The first California Dreaming went to Australia, and the second to the UK. Where will the third end up? Excited to find out!
