Four Square 9

The ninth iteration of my Four Square blanket – made for an orange couch in Missouri! 🙂

For the pattern, see patterns link in sidebar – or look into ordering this blanket as a custom, handmade item.

I start this blanket with four tiny squares, and it grows to 76×76″!

I do sell this pattern with many variations, but here are some details for this blanket:

I used worsted weight yarn and a size 6.5mm hook (K). Making 1ch in between each 3dc cluster and 2ch in the corners, I flip the square over on every round, which will eliminate the “turning” phenomenon that can occur at the center of a standard granny square.

And some final photos! I bordered with a reverse sc, but I had to go down to an H hook so that it would not frill..
