Two colorful twin-size Gumball blankets – headed to Washington, DC!
Check out the pattern for sale on Ravelry and Etsy, or look into buying this blanket as a custom, handmade item.
When I make a Gumball in this mixed color palette, I start by making all of the center circles. I choose about three shades each of pink, purple, and blue, and then I add in a pale yellow, a couple greens, and a tan. I avoid getting too much into the warm colors like orange.
For this project, I have two blankets, so I made two pretty stacks of circles, 35 each since the blankets are 5×7.
Then everyone gets a second color dip!
Joining below – I love this blanket; it is so much fun to make and works up quick.
One down and one to go.
Fin! 🙂

Another lovely pair of blankets! Inspiring! I’m taking a week-long driving trip soon; how would you rate this pattern as travel crochet? Thanks, as always, for sharing your work.
Hello! Making all the circles will be perfect for travel! Once you’re ready to join, the blanket will start to grow and become a more stationary feat. Although I am known to shove a WIP in my bag and pile it in my lap at my daughter’s various extracurriculars 😉 Have safe and fun travels! RC Xx
Sounds like a plan! Now I get to choose colors–love it. Thanks for the advice and good wishes; we’re looking forward to our trip. take care–
These are once again,,, Very beautiful!
Thank you! I’ve made this exact set before, but it was fun all over again! Plus I used a lot of remnants, so that’s always a bonus. 🙂
Beautiful blankets.
Thank you! 🙂
