Take a peek at these little cuties! Each of them will be the center of the granny squares that I used for this squooshy blanket. This Gelato version only calls for 14 squares because it is just 36′ square. Holding the yarn double really makes the squares oversize.
So I have been encouraging myself to take more progress shots to post, and as a result, you get to see my poor-lighting 3am shot of all granny squares completed and ready for joining! I use a join-as-you-go method. Because the squares are all different sizes, I detail each joining scenario in my pattern.
In the pic below, it is about 8:30am, so I did get some sleep, if only a tad.
